Pianosa Island can be reached during the whole year by TOREMAR shipping company ferry-boat, with a weekly frequency. The ferry leaves from Piombino harbor every Tuesday at 8.20 a.m. and after about three hours gets to Pianosa island with an intermediate stop of about 20 minutes at Rio Marina harbor (Elba Island).

During summerthere is a daily connection with the island from Marina di Campo (Elba Island) with Aquavision Servizi Marittimi srl. The arrival in Pianosa is scheduled at 11:00 a.m., with return from Pianosa at 5:00 p.m.. During summer, some rides depart directly from Piombino (LI) with a stopover in Marina di Campo.
